Doors continue opening for Psalm in 2019. In the second week of March, Psalm was invited to perform at the Kingdom Experience at SXSW, alongside reputable ministers Bryann Trejo, Antwoine Hill, 5ive, Triple Thr33, H.U.R.T. and more.
The two-day event was a huge blessing, with awesome fellowship and ministry taking place throughout both nights.
At the end of the second night, Psalm was offered a record deal with Spechouse Records.
The one-album deal includes a tour with Kurtis Hoppie, 5ive and Derek Minor, a list of features from Kingdom Muzic and Potiphar’s House, marketing, branding and distribution, as well as full production by the grammy-nominated producer Spechouse himself.
Spechouse has worked alongside hip hop legends such Tupac and Jay-Z. They have produced for Reach Records, Clearsight Music and Kingdom Muzic. He has a ton of accolades under their belt, including Grammy nominations, Dove and Stellar awards, and number 1 charted singles on iTunes and Billboards. He has personally shaped careers for several reputable artists in the industry, including V. Rose, Bookie the Baby, Chrissy Lane and others.
This record deal comes on the heels of two projects that Psalm has finished up and is preparing to release; one that is entirely self-produced, and one that is produced by Jason Andrews, aka J.Nihilo. J.Nihilo has produced for Warner, Capital and other labels. He has worked for groups such as Plumb. Psalm plans to continue creating music with J.Nihilo, who has become a fast and faithful friend of the CHH artist.
Psalm is very excited about where this new chapter will take him, and prays that it is ultimately used to glorify the God he serves.
Stay tuned for more updates on Psalm’s upcoming projects.
